Registration open for governor-led trade mission to Jordan and Israel

World Trade Center Utah is currently accepting registrants for the Governor-led Trade Mission to Jordan and Israel, which will occur Oct. 22 through Oct. 26.

“The trade mission to Jordan and Israel presents a unique opportunity for companies to explore business opportunities in the Middle East,” said Derek B. Miller, president and CEO of WTC Utah. “Companies can increase their opportunities to do business in these countries by taking advantage of the networking, briefings and matchmaking facilitated by attending this trade mission with the Governor’s official delegation.”

The registration form can be found at www.wtcutah.com and must be submitted by Aug. 21, at which time a non-refundable $500 deposit is also due.

During the trade mission, attendees will participate in the following:

  • Market specific briefings by in-country experts and the U.S. Commercial Service
  • Pre-arranged and customized business-to-business meetings through the U.S. Commercial Service’s Gold Key Matchmaking Service
  • Site visits
  • VIP networking receptions for business leaders and elected officials

Jordan and Israel are valuable markets for Utah companies due to their locations and targeted industries. In Jordan, top industries include agriculture, technology, renewable energy and safety, security equipment, etc. In Israel, important industries include aerospace, transportation equipment, agriculture and energy. Because of the overlap in targeted industries, there is a lot of opportunity for collaboration between Utah and these countries.

The trade mission is hosted by WTC Utah in partnership with Zions Bank, the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development, Utah Israel Economic Council, the Small Business Administration and the U.S. Commercial Service.
