In addition to registering to vote, Utah voters may now request an absentee ballot online, instead of visiting their county clerk’s office in person.  From the comfort of their home or workplace, Utahns can now visit voter.utah.gov to:

• Change name and/or address on voter registration record

• Affiliate with a political party or change party affiliation

• Request an absentee ballot

“Providing an absentee ballot option for Utah citizens is another way we are encouraging all Utah citizens to participate in the voting process,” said Utah Lt. Governor Greg Bell.  “The online registration tool is the easiest way to not only register and update your voting information, but now to also request an absentee ballot.  We are pleased to offer this new feature to Utah voters.”

The online absentee tool simplifies the process of requesting an absentee ballot, which will help all Utahns participate in elections, particularly those temporarily residing outside the state.  When requesting an absentee ballot, Utah voters are able to request a “one-time absentee” ballot or a “permanent by mail” ballot.  Military and overseas voters can also choose their desired method of delivery (email, fax, domestic address or international address).
