United Way Opens New Grant Cycle
|
For more than 100 years, United Way of Salt Lake has partnered with nonprofit
agencies in Davis, Salt Lake, Summit, and Tooele counties to make a difference
in our community. Each Community Partner receives grants from United Way of Salt
Lake. We invest in 63 community partners, 163 programs, and four strategic
initiatives that create a brighter future in our community.
Every three years United Way of Salt Lake undergoes its grant cycle, through
which our existing community partners must reapply for grants and new non-profit
and public service providers are invited to apply. UWSL is now in the midst of
the 2008-2011 grant cycle and we encourage all non-profit organizations and
established public entities to apply.

IMPACT MATTERS
Calling for Grant Applications: Deadline Jan. 11, 2008
Over the years, UWSL has been fortunate to partner with many outstanding
organizations throughout our service area of Salt Lake, Davis, Tooele, and
Summit Counties. It is through the grassroots services of these partners that we
are able to extend our reach and achieve the greatest good from the funds we
have available.
Each United Way of Salt Lake Community Partner undergoes a significant review to
determine its effectiveness and adherence to United Way's Pathways to
Prosperity. Partners receive funding from United Way based on the evaluations
from that review. Partners will need to demonstrate that they are actively
collaborating with agencies/partners in the community as a way to ensure
efficiency and non-duplicative services. Each partner must have accountability
measures in place to track results from their agency.
