The Utah Association of Counties has opened registration for the 2010 County Official Day at the Legislature, which will be held "January 29 at the State Capitol Complex. Each year this meeting gives officials an opportunity to discuss the issues that impact counties and their individual offices most. It also is an excellent way to connect with local legislators, helping them to understand key points of important pieces of legislation." Says UAC Executive Director Brent Gardner: "The importance of this event cannot be over-stated. When county officials show up in greater numbers to our Legislature Day and other subsequent meetings, legislators take note and listen more intently to our positions." For more info, click here.
