WASHINGTON, D.C.--Senator Bob Bennett (R-Utah) today issued the following statement regarding the Department of the Interior's Endangered Species Act decision on the sage grouse.

"Let's be honest, the Endangered Species Act has always been more about obstructing growth than about actually protecting species. Today's announcement will mean fewer jobs and have a devastating impact on mining, ranching, and energy, including the renewable energy sector that this administration has supported. If the Obama administration is truly more interested in job creation than pleasing the environmental community, then it should join all of us who have long advocated to reform to the Endangered Species Act."
