Even though we don't know which seat he'll be running for, or whom his opponents might be, Sen. Mike Lee has endorsed Carl Wimmer's run for Congress in 2012.

In a fundraising letter released by the Wimmer campaign today, Lee writes:

In 2012 Utahns will have the chance to elect a true conservative leader to the U.S. House of Representatives--someone who has a proven track record of conservatism, who believes in a constitutionally limited government, and has led the fight right here in Utah.  That person is my friend, Utah Representative Carl Wimmer.

A conservative leader is someone who not only supports the cause of liberty, but has actually led important political battles.  Carl is such a leader.  He has led critical efforts against Obamacare,  in support of unborn human life, against perpetual deficit spending, and in support of your right to a secret ballot.

It has been a pleasure to watch Carl Wimmer work in the Utah Legislature.  I am now asking for your help in sending him to Congress.  I am donating to Carl Wimmer for Congress and I ask you to consider doing so as well.  Together we can send Carl to Washington, where he can help me and my fellow conservatives in the fight for our nation’s future.
