Tea Party group FreedomWorks is polling in Utah's Senate race ahead of the GOP state convention.
Hotline on Call notes the group filed an independent expenditure notice with the FEC that they're spending $3,500 on a voter survey in the state.
It's not clear whether FreedomWorks is polling delegates, Republican primary voters, or another cross-section of the electorate. When asked about the specifics of the poll, the group said it was conducted for internal use and is not going to be distributed.
FreedomWorks has spent over $600,000 against Hatch. Keep an eye on what the group says in the coming weeks. If it does not publicly tout the findings of the survey soon, it could mean some bad news for Liljenquist and the anti-Hatch crowd.
