This is a cool way to get the lay of the land when it comes to the race for 270 Electoral Votes.

Electoral-Vote.com takes polling data from each state to see where the candidates stand ahead of November's election.

Right now, Barack Obama would capture 294 electoral votes, while Mitt Romney would get 235. Colorado's 9 votes are still up in the air.

What's interesting is Obama has a seemingly easier path to 270 right now.. According to those polls, he has 200 Electoral Votes firmly in his column with another 58 strongly leaning his way. Romney only has 130 solid Electoral votes, with another 51 leaning toward him.

The map also says the Democrats have a good chance to retain control of the Senate. According to polling data, Democrats should have at least 50 seats after November against the GOP's 48. Just two seats (Indiana and Virginia) are considered pure toss-ups.
