Dianne Meppen has joined the Center for Public Policy & Administration at the University of Utah as a research associate. She comes to the U from Dan Jones & Associates, where, as one of its first employees, she helped the small firm develop into one of Utah's most respected companies.

Meppen specializes in client relations, collaborating on research objectives and developing research strategies, formulating concise and understandable survey instruments, overseeing data collection, evaluating data results, and presenting key findings and insights to clients. Ms. Meppen will work on a variety of survey projects to assist state and local governments with their operations.

“Dianne brings to the University valuable expertise.  Having overseen projects on all aspects of government, she has broad and deep experience in survey research,” said Jennifer Robinson, CPPA director. “We are fortunate to have her as part of the CPPA team.”

With more than 30 years of experience, Dianne has directed hundreds of projects on a wide range of topics. She has extensive research experience with health care, transportation, education, current issues, media studies, and other public policy issues. She has a long history of researching various Utah populations and an understanding of the political climate of the state.

“I am honored to join the Center for Public Policy and Administration at such an exciting time, and I look forward to making sure that research contributes to sound policy making in our state,” says Meppen.
