The 2012 election will be won in the Midwest and West.

A new Gallup poll shows the most competitive regions in the 2012 election will be the West and Midwestern parts of the country. Those regions are virtual toss-ups between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.

The poll also shows Obama has a massive advantage over Romney among minority voters. The only part of the country where the margin is below 50% is the West.
