Governor Gary Herbert, local elected officials and community leaders joined Amazon in celebrating its first robotics fulfillment center in Salt Lake City.
The over 855,500 square foot fulfillment center in Salt Lake City has more than 1,500 full-time, full-benefit employees who pick, pack and ship smaller customer items such as books, electronics, and toys. The facility features innovative technology such as Amazon Robotics that assist employees in fulfilling customer orders.
In addition to competitive wages, full‐time Amazon employees are eligible for comprehensive benefits starting on day one including healthcare, 401(k) with 50 percent match and a network of support to help employees succeed. Amazon also offers regular full-time employees 20 weeks of paid parental leave and access to innovative programs like Career Choice, where Amazon will pre-pay up to 95 percent of tuition for courses related to in-demand fields regardless of whether the skills are relevant to a career at Amazon.

We’re also committed to investing in the communities where our associates live and work. That’s why we’re proud to join the Utah Food Bank in their mission of fighting hunger statewide and have donated $15,000 today.”
