Wednesday, Jan. 27 from 1:00 – 1:30 pm, Rev. Kimal James from First United Methodist Church of Ogden and Pastor Christine Myers-Tegeder of First Presbyterian Church of Salt Lake City will be hosting a conversation on Zoom with Senator Riebe about the ways the Utah Legislature can reduce child homelessness.
The three legislative priorities for the Crossroads Urban Center to reduce child homelessness this year are:
1. Increase state investment in affordable housing,
2. Better connect families who have been homeless with needed healthcare services, and
3. Include parents who have been homeless in Governor Cox’s proposed new job training initiative.
